The new MACWO V2 is born from intense research & development resulting in a top of its class innovative garment, that sets new standards for lightweight packable warmth and supreme insulation from the cold. Utilising the latest in custom fabric technology, the MACWO’s primary insulation source is 100gsm Primaloft Gold Cross Core Ultra with Aerogel. Originally developed by NASA for use in aeronautical applications, silica aerogel is composed of more than 95% air and is the lightest solid material known to man and one of the most effective and lightest forms of insulation ever created. A unique secondary windproof insulation layer is provided through the custom designed 20d Nylon IR thermal reflective lining that dramatically helps to lock in body heat. The MACWO is loaded with features based on lessons learnt and years of experience in the field.

Multicam version: Genuine Crye Multicam 40D Quantum ripstop shell fabric with DWR.
AU Terrain version: Custom 70D Ripstop Nanostealth with C6 DWR offering extreme water repellency.

Pocket Lining: Belt order hand pockets with Brushed tricot lined hand pockets for enhanced comfort.
Advanced Hood Design: Advanced & fully contoured hood design offers amazing situational awareness and comfort with 3 way adjustability
Stowaway Hood: Fixed hood with stowaway collar pocket
Internal Pockets: Two Internal zippered mesh pockets on left side for additional storage.
Internal Dump Pocket: Single large internal elastic mesh dump pocket on right side for gloves, beanie etc.
Adjustable Shock Cords: Twin adjustable elastic shock cords in lower seam.
Pillow Pocket Design: Unique "pillow pocket" allows the entire jacket to be turned inside itself and used as a soft lined pillow or compressed storage bag.
Packability: The MACWO Jacket is Highly compressible

Soft and warm
By: James on 26 July 2024The fabric used on the MACWO is soft but tough. The shape of the jacket is comfortable, does not restrict movement and doesn't rub uncomfortably anywhere. An excellent jacket.

Only bought it replace the original MACWO
By: R on 3 July 2024I bought one of the original MACWO jackets back in 2015. Its been thrashed in countless exercises since then and is still warm and my go to cold weather jacket and somehow is still in decent condition. So it was a no brainer to buy a replacement almost 10yrs later especially in AMP (The Multicam unfortunately brings you way above the detection threshold). If this new one is the usual SORD quality. Then ill do another review in 10yrs time buying the next MACWO model.
