Sniper CTR Rig Description

The SORD SNIPER CTR Chest Rig is engineered for operators who require a lightweight, low-profile harness designed for close target reconnaissance, sniper, or marksman roles. Its minimalistic design ensures a streamlined loadout without sacrificing functionality, while the 500D Cordura construction strikes a balance between weight savings and durability. The rig offers a high level of comfort and breathability with a foldable central mount panel and air-mesh padded shoulder straps.

A full-width internal admin pouch keeps mission-critical gear organized, and the skeletonized MOLLE system on the shoulder straps allows for modular customization when needed. The chest rig is also fully compatible with SORD’s range of Velcro sandwich pouches, such as the Tactical Exploitation Dump and On The Man pouches, providing further flexibility for mission-specific gear.

Features:

Internal Pouch: There is a full width internal zippered dump / admin pouch at the front that has been segmented into three seperate areas, the centre part with 100mm elastic banding sectioned to hold and control smaller items such as a multi tool, pistol mags, compass etc.

Durable: ULTRA light weight construction of Single Layer 500 Denier Condura.

Ventilation: The single layer 500D chest bib will fold down when not in use and stow away cleanly in the rear mesh dump pouch out of the way provising better ventillation.

Shoulder Straps Intermediate: The CTR shoulder harness in this configuration comes with the "Shoulder Straps Intermediate" incorporating skeletonised MOLLE on the rear for the attachment of a hydration cover, radio pouch, ID panel etc if required.

Construction: The 38mm shoulder straps with Air-Mesh padding and single layer mesh dump pouch allow the CTR Rig in it's entirity to remain ULTRA light weight and compressible down to the size of a 1L Nalgene water bottle.

So I replaced my old school sord battle bra with this one. Very light weight whilst being able to store equipment in the admin pouch. While I used it I loved it. Very functional. However, sord needs to update the shoulder straps for heavier loads. The straps became quite uncomfortable with 5 mags, 1ltr of water and a 152+ some admin piss. I fixed this problem by ordering an ATS padded modular H harness from the states and modifying the rig for it to fit. This removed all weight bearing issues.
